The final stages of the prep work for the project are being made this week, making plenty of time to sew on all of the collected leaves and flowers to start the project off before the festival starts in August.

If you are coming along to the festival, you will already see lots of contributions thats have been added on and you will also be able to add to them by embroidering, knitting, crochet and embellishing straight on to the padded letters if you wish!!
We can't wait to invite you all to take part :o)

Here are just a few pics from the studio - the final letter has been stuffed, and the backings have gone on each letter to neaten and secure everything ready for the festival.

Taking shape...

The letters are all nearly stuffed! I have loads of woolly foliage to add to the giant letter shapes pin cushions and I can't wait to share it all with you at the festival!

Don't forget, if you haven't got time to send in your knitted or crocheted flowers to me at the studio, you can always bring them with you to the festival if you are coming along and sew them to the project yourself!

I'll also have lots of wool, buttons, beads and fabrics with us at the festival, so you can come and rest your feet, have a few minutes to your self and take part in our fibre craft workshop and make something for the project at the festival :o)

Here are some photos of how the project is coming together. I've already sewn a few knitted and crocheted pieces on to the pin cushions so you can see what will happen to your crafty contributions! :)

North west is best :)
